Dr. David Shively, Dr. Roger Pham and their team are happy to welcome you to our dental blog, where will be posting information about how to take care of your smile, answering frequently asked questions, and keeping you up-to-date on the latest in the field of dentistry. While many patients understand oral health basics, reaching out with new and useful information is part of developing oral health knowledge and supporting strong, beautiful smiles for a lifetime. All of the information we share on our blog are meant to be Practical but also Science-based Dental Health Advice. They will be primarily are derived from information that we extrapolate from Continuing Education courses, Dental Literatures, Leading Dental Associations, and of course Personal Experience over the years of practice, Personal Product use, recommendations from Dental Seminars and Leading Experts, or things we hear from attending Dental Conventions. We’re committed to giving you evidence-based recommendations whenever possible. Our goal is to filter through the tremendous amount of information that you can find on the web and make it as clear and concise as possible for our patients to get the best result on your path to long term oral health.   2. The California Dental Association (CDA) is the largest state association within the ADA, it is also a great place to find information about dentistry especially pertaining to the state itself.
  3. The Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) which is also a leader in education and information for general dentist.
  4. The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD) is the leading education and resource for anything cosmetic, including the latest technologies to perfect a patient's smile to the best it can be.
  5. Colgate, a leading brand in oral care product (part of Colgate-Palmolive Company), is also a great place to find information on how to use products for best efficiency as they invest millions of dollars every year for research and product development.
  6. Crest, also another dental company (part of Proctor & Gamble Company) with great expertise in the dental field, can provides additional resources for dental needs. They also invest a lot into research and development and inventions that can make dental health management a lot easier.
  7. The Center for Disease Control (CDC) the leading, national public health institute of the United States and the main source of information when it comes to disease prevention.
  8. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is an agency of the United States Department of Labor. They are the enforcer of safe and healthful working standards for the American population and also provides training, outreach, education and assistance.
